Discussion and vote on proposal –

“to keep one league format moving forward , or return to two league structure”

If Two league structure returned,

discussion and vote on Garnant Proposal, seconded by Aberystwyth .

“That the League is made up of 2/3 divisions based on numbers and geographical location. The current league system, of playing 13 league games, is too onerous, as it causes issues with club competitions and rearranging games. It also takes up half of the summer season of 26 weekends and, becomes a financial burden on members who have traveling and inflated meal costs to pay.”

Also to be discussed if required

Committee proposal

To abide by standings at the 2016 season, or standings as they are now? (7 teams in league 1 as Cardigan dropped out when in league 2) or to divide the league as with the positions relative to the 2018 season.

After long discussion with all clubs voicing their concern around clubs financial viability, the ethos and friendly nature of Rabbits golf ; enquires around standings of clubs as they would be if 2 leagues were chosen.

13. Any Other Business.

I)Moving forward , any member of either team can send the result to the Secretary. (Hopefully, by the end of the weekend the fixture was played ) . The preferred method of sending the result is text

Home Team total pts (bonus pts) v Away Team total pts (bonus pts)

II) it was agreed that the secretary would table a discussion at the next AGM around moving to a similar format to Dyfed league where  Handicap determines pairings ( low play low , moving up through the pairings)

III) Efforts are to be made by the committee to draw in new clubs during the year ( 2 days after the AGM Machynys GC contacted the secretary to discuss joining, it was decided by them to play a few friendly matches to get a taste of Rabbits golf  with a view to joining in the 2020 season).

14. Close Meeting.

Club and Committee Proposals

Proposed by the Committee

1.As it is harder for an away team to gain any sort of result this proposal is reward an away team by altering the points structure, it also might encourage more to play away.

“ home draw 1pt, away draw 3pts , home win 3pts, away win 5 pts.”

Penrhos suggested that it would be fairer and reward a win more, to amend the points to

“ home draw 1pt, away draw 3pts , home win 4pts, away win 5 pts.”

this was agreed as the new submission for ratification.

Garnant Park suggested that the points should remain the same

Vote  7 for the new points scoring ( as above )
