Gentlemen and Ladies. The new season is finally upon us and after 2 long years I’m sure it will be a successful one. I wish you all good luck with the hope that many new and old friendships will be rekindled. Attached is a document which shows all of the upcoming fixtures. If I have made any mistakes, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Dear Members,
I have this morning received an email from the Club Manager of Aberystwyth Golf Club stating that they are pulling out of the forthcoming Rabbits season as they cannot guarentee being able to field teams for all matches. Whilst accepting their problems, it is sad to see a member club taking this decision. I hope they are able to rejoin in the near future.
I believe that several clubs have also received correspondence from Aberystwyth. I sure you will make the appropriate arrangements at your clubs.
Can I please ask that all clubs forward their fixture list to me as soon as possible at paul.rees@tatasteeleurope.com.
Yours in Sport Paul Rees
Gentlemen. I have recently had a hand over meeting with Rhys Jones and I wish him good luck in his future endeavours and hope it is not too long before he plays this great game again. Following on from that meeting, I am able to post the Minutes of our last AGM and also an updated version of the League Rules following our discussions during the AGM. Going forward, I hope to be able to emulate the efforts of past Secretaries in helping you to enjoy this wonderful league.
Can I please ask that all Captains or their representatives fully read and digest the Rules before we get going and can you also forward your fixtures as soon as is practicable.
Many Thanks
Paul
Dear All,
The AGM will take place at Carmarthen Golf Club , on Tuesday November 23rd at 7pm.
Unfortunately Priskilly have opted not to take part in the league next year , and I am still awaiting a definite confirmation from Aberystwyth.
Agenda items already for discussion are as follows
1. League format and structure
2. Implementation of the World handicap system into the league.
3. Position of League Secretary- moving forward
Paul (Ashburnham) seconded by Nigel (Glyn Abbey have proposed a number of amendments to the league rules that cover some of the above areas, and I will post their proposal on Wednesday 17th , along with any other proposals.
Your input and suggestions are welcome, and if you have any proposals for these or any other matters please can you get them to me by the end of the day on 16th November. Please remember that proposal will need to be seconded by another club.
If you have any questions or want a chat feel free to reply or give me a ring on 07708760765.
If you can send through details to me of your Captains/ person who arranges fixtures for next year, so I can share with all the other clubs , that would be great.
Regards
Rhys
Unfortunately I have received a message from Priskilly Golf club , that they will be withdrawing from all league activity this year. Although disappointing, we respect the decision and wish them a successful domestic summer , and hope to see them back in 2022.
In light of this , there maybe some need to look at the groups below.
I will keep you updated.
