The match is result is determined from ALL the pairs playing , it is only the bonus points that depend on the first six pairs results , so in a case where there are 7 pairs in a match and the first 6 pairs are split 3-3, the result in the final match decides the match results.
however the losing team will get 3 bonus points for winning 3 of the first 6 matches.
